In New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made, oh
There's nothing you can't do, now you're in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you, let's hear it for New York
New York, New York
Our great adventure this summer began in New York City. We flew into the JFK airport and took a taxi to the Laguardia Airport Hotel. When we pulled up to the front of the hotel our first thought was.... This is GHETTO.
Once we got checked in we went out to explore the City.
First, How do we even get into the City?
A shuttle bus driver from the hotel took us to a Subway stop and we took the Subway to Time Square.
Next, where do we even begin?
There was so much to do and so little time to do it in. we wandered around Time Square for a little while just amazed by the amount of people and all the Shopping.
Then, what should we eat? and where?
As we wandered around we looked at all of the different restaurants and everything was extremely expensive. We found a little hole in the wall called Papaya Dog.
We had the best Philly Cheese Steaks I have ever had.
After Dinner we walked past the Empire State building. We thought about going up to the top, but it was a 2 hour wait and we didn't want to waste that much time because we only had one night to see everything.
We took the Subway to the World Trade Center. We couldn't really see much because it is under construction. Kind of a bummer, but still very cool. It was a very patriotic experience.
Our last stop was the Staten Island Ferry. It was so cool to see the Statue of Liberty from that point of view. I have never before been to New York, never seen the Statue of Liberty, and it was beautiful.
We had a wonderful time in New York, even though it was only for one night.
We will definitely have to go there again sometime.
I miss you!!! Hope you guys are having so much fun in Europe. Get prego.
